Programs

We offer a wide range of music programs designed to make high-quality education accessible to all. Beginning in Fall 2025, many of our group classes, after-school programs, and summer camps will take place directly in elementary schools across Vancouver’s neighborhoods — bringing music closer to where students live and learn. For those seeking a more personalized experience, private lessons are available at teachers' studios or in the comfort of the student’s home.

Private Lessons

One-on-one music instruction offers personalized, focused learning tailored to each student’s individual pace, goals, and learning style. With the full attention of a dedicated teacher, students receive immediate feedback, detailed technical guidance, and customized lesson plans that target their strengths and areas for growth. This close mentorship helps build a strong foundation, accelerates progress, and fosters a deep, lasting understanding of music. For students pursuing exams or advanced repertoire, private instruction provides the structure and precision needed for consistent, high-level achievement.

Group Classes

We offer group classes not only for beginners, but for all RCM grades as well. Group music classes offer unique benefits that go beyond individual skill development. Learning in a group fosters collaboration, listening skills, and a sense of community—students become inspired by their peers, learn from each other’s progress, and develop ensemble awareness early on. Group settings also promote accountability, motivation, and confidence through shared musical experiences and performance opportunities. While private lessons provide focused attention, group classes offer a dynamic, social, and supportive environment that makes music learning more engaging and enjoyable—especially for younger students.

After-school Music Program

Our after-school music program is a convenient, all-in-one solution for busy families. Held right at your child’s school, it removes the need for extra driving and fits easily into your weekly routine.

More than just a class, the program includes piano classes, music theory classes, and supervised practice—twice a week—offering deeper involvement than most traditional private lessons.

Many parents feel frustrated when kids resist practicing at home, which often leads to slow progress or quitting altogether. Our program helps bridge that gap by providing consistent, engaging instruction in a safe, familiar setting—without the stress of daily discipline.

The result? Stronger musical growth—and fewer battles at home.

Summer Music Camps

Our piano and musicianship summer camps offers young students a focused, engaging environment to build foundational skills in music while also having some outdoor fun, fresh air and plenty of sunshine. Through daily piano practice, rhythm games, ear training, music theory, and creative activities, students strengthen their technique and deepen their understanding of music. The group setting encourages collaboration and motivation, while still allowing for individual attention and progress. It’s the perfect way to reinforce good habits, spark musical curiosity, and give students a confident start—or boost—on their piano journey over the summer break.

Preschool Music Program

Preschool music programs lay a strong foundation for a child’s cognitive, emotional, and social development through joyful, play-based learning. Early exposure to rhythm, melody, and movement helps young children develop listening skills, coordination, memory, and early language abilities. Making music together also fosters creativity, confidence, and social connection. By introducing musical concepts in a fun and engaging way, these programs nurture a lifelong appreciation for music while supporting overall early childhood development.

Group Classes for Adults

Group piano classes for adults offer a supportive, social, and motivating environment to learn or return to music. Sharing the learning experience with peers reduces performance anxiety and fosters a sense of community, making music study more enjoyable and less intimidating. Group settings encourage consistency, build accountability, and provide opportunities for ensemble playing and creative collaboration. Whether you're a beginner or picking it up again after years away, group classes offer a relaxed yet structured way to grow musically while connecting with others who share your passion.
